Ivy (Worsted)
This is a worsted weight version of my Ivy cardigan. Ivy is a classic crew neck cardigan. It features a pretty purl twist stitch pattern on the fronts while the back and sleeves are kept simple in stockinette. It is worked seamlessly from the top down with raglan shaping for the sleeves and gentle waist shaping for a flattering fit.

Sizes:
XS(S, M1, M2, L)(XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL)

Finished Bust Measurements:
31(34.5, 37.5, 40.5, 44)(47, 50.5, 53.5, 57) inches / 78(86, 94, 102, 110)(118, 126, 134, 142) cm

It is intended to be worn with approx. 0-3 inches / 0-7.5 cm positive ease. Choose a size that is approx. 0-3 inches / 0-7.5 cm larger than your actual bust measurement. Shown in size S with 0.5 inch / 1.25 cm positive ease.

Skills Required:
Increases and decreases
Knit in the round (for the sleeves)
Pick up stitches


Yarn:
Worsted weight yarn 100g/220 yd skein x 5(5, 6, 6, 7)(8, 8, 9, 10) skeins

Approx. 1000(1100, 1225, 1300, 1425)(1550, 1700, 1850, 2000) yds / 915(1000, 1120, 1190, 1300)(1420, 1550, 1700, 1830) m

Needles & Notions:
US 6 (4 mm) circular needle (at least 32 inches / 80 cm long) and set of double pointed needles
US 7 (4.5 mm) circular needle (at least 32 inches / 80 cm long) and set of double pointed needles
Yarn needle
4 stitch markers
Waste yarn
8 Buttons (approx. 0.75 inch / 18 mm in diameter)


Construction:
Stitches are cast on for the yoke which is worked flat and shaped with raglan increases. Stitches are set aside for the sleeves and the body is worked down in one piece with shaping. The sleeve stitches are placed onto dpns and worked down in the round. Finally, stitches are picked up to work the neck band and button bands.
